Sometimes I wonder how creators like Daisuke Amaya, Rob Schrab, Daniel Johnston, Andrew Hussie, or even Kevin Eastman & Peter Laird started their songs, games, comics, and whatever done so quickly. I know it took Daisuke 4 or more years to make Cave story but he still got it done, and all the other guys got their creations started in less than a year or so. I’ve been on this comic for five going on six years now and I’m worried I’m not putting enough into it because of how drained I get after doing work, school, chores, and essential stuff to do. Not to mention I don’t really do anything else unless I’m getting commissioned or I get a burst of influence, even now I got influence right now to make a story in the Art-Block world relating to ghosts of the past haunting the present characters but that’s a story I can’t do now because it’s something that works better near the end of the series. I just don’t know what I need to do to get the last 6 pages done quickly without getting lazy.

I ask myself all the time if I’m a good artist, I don’t even know anymore. I once drew all the time but now I rarely do and I don’t know why and it’s hurts to think about. I’ve drawn most of my life and I thought it was the only thing I was truly good at. 21 years old and yet I’m still an amateur, I don’t know what happened to make me end up here as completely nothing when others do it so much better and they have more success. I don’t want to stop doing art, it’s a part of me and I can’t just kill it. I’m just a fucking mess, I wish I wasn’t, I wish I knew how to be better.

Due to lack of people interested in my art, the treatment of most professional artists, and people in my personal life telling me that it’s better to find a more stable job I might not being staying for much longer. I love doing art but that means jack shit when trying to get a profit, especially when you’re trying to make a comic. I’m gonna wait it out and keep posting as much as I can but when I have my chance I’m gonna kill myself, the rest is silence.

Heyo, it’s Naw, I’ve got some news, my semester starts on the 19th and until fall break (if nothing accrues) I’ll be working only 11 hours a week due to it, so this gives me the time to do art and commissions for whomever.
